The Diversity of Different axe10 Applications

Under the hood, the axe10app is a single application.

The application is differentiated for users with specific requirements. Because axe10 is a single application, a case eBundle can be exported by one user with an III (OSINT) remit, and imported into axe10 CM by a user with general case management and eDisclosure requirements.

The whole case eBundle can be opened with axe10 LEGAL by a Defendant's legal counsel, with access to all of the unused material and likewise, during the evaluation of sensitive material, the case eBundle can be accessed by a judge or other person with authority to review sensitive material, and pro-actively remove a sensitive material restriction.

Finally, the case eBundle can be opened in a court of law, so that the prosecution might demonstrate that the evidence is eForensically secure.

What's Different about axe10 CM?

Axe10 CM is the only Axe10 solution with Disclosure capability.
The application has no III (OSINT) tools but it does allow for material to be gathered directly from proprietary on-line databases. All off-line material can be acquired, and as the material is brought into Axe10 CM it is logged and hashed, and nothing can be deleted.
Axe10 CM provides case management with grading of all material, an auto-generated evidence report and reports of the unused and sensitive material. Everything is stored in a single case bundle.

The Disclosure capability records all distribution activity; who, when, what, to whom and how are all recorded, logged & hashed.

What's the Difference between axe10 LE & axe10 CVL?

Short Answer: Both are OSINT/III investigation solutions, but within axe10 LE, nothing can be deleted

Long Answer: axe10 LE complies with the Criminal Procedure and Investigations Act 1996. Material cannot be deleted and all unused material is disclosed

axe10 CVL complies with the Civil Procedure Act 1997. Material can be deleted from axe10, and material is disclosed as required.

axe10 LE has the capacity to record sensitive material, so that in the default 'sensitive mode' all material marked as sensitive is redacted in the evidence report and excluded from the case bundle. Simply switch out of 'sensitive mode' to display material marked as sensitive in the evidence report, and include the evidence in the case bundle.
axe10 CVL  has no 'sensitive mode' capacity.

We want to bring a Public Prosecution!

We are not a Law Enforcement Agency, but we do want to bring a public prosecution. Should we use CVL or LE?

Short Answer: Use axe10 LE

Long Answer: A public prosecution has to meet the requirements of the Criminal Procedures and Investigations Act 1996. axe10 LE is compliant with the CPIA 1996, whereas axe10 CVL is compliant with the Civil Procedure Act 1997.

For a civil investigation, start the process with axe10 LE and then, to manage disclosure for a civil proceeding, import a case eBundle processed with axe10 LE in axe10 CVL, and manage the material as appropriate for disclosure in compliance with the Civil Procedure Act 1997.

How does axe10 LE & CVL differ from axe10 LITE ?

Short Answer: POLE structured investigations, Disclosure & Sensitivity

Long Answer: Both LE & CVL have the capacity to manage large investigations with multiple subjects and associates. Material is saved to identified data-sets. LE and CVL structure investigations around the POLE model. (People Objects Locations Events). The complexity of processing a large investigation is simplified and guided, with the provision of multiple identifiers to ensure compliance with the POLE model.
LITE has no reliable disclosure capability. Do not rely on axe10 LITE if there might be a requirement to disclose information in compliance with the CPIA 1996 and the March 2015 revised Code of Practice
LITE has no capability to record and allow for management of sensitive material.

What is the difference between axe10 LEGAL & axe10 JUSTICE?

Short Answer: axe10 JUSTICE is read only. axe10 LEGAL allows for editing of the report.

Long Answer: axe10 JUSTICE is used to distribute the report and all of the evidence so that the reader can see the evidence and verify the source.

axe10 LEGAL allows for case preparation. Its not possible to apply new evidence, but the report which is logged and saved inside the case eBundle, can be edited to display the pertinent evidence, which is stored inside the case eBundle.

What's the Difference between axe10 LITE for Local and axe10 LITE for Cloud?

Short Answer: the price

Long Answer: There is no technical or functional difference between axe10 LITE for local and axe10 LITE for Cloud. The only difference is the price which differs because:-

For Local Desktop, the users are individuals and small businesses with a lower operational security mandate and budget than;

For Cloud Desktop, where the users are large corporate organisations and public authorities, with a higher operational security mandate and budgetary capacity.

axe10 LITE for Local Desktop deployment  is free.

axe10 LITE for a Cloud Desktop deployment is £100/user account/ year (VAT not included). This price does not include any Cloud service, only the right to deploy axe10 LITE on a Cloud service.
